Inspired by the Trappist Monks who first made beer in Belgium in the 1500s and continue to make some of the finest beers today, Monastery’s brewery & kitchen is a tribute to them and their fine contribution to the world. One may walk in and discover the most authentic beers that the city has to offer.
The design began with a sketch, envisioning a crest that would embody the Monastery’s rich history and the spirit of its beers. At the edges of the crest was a stylized image of architecture. To complete it, intricate designs of hops, barley, and wheat intertwined, symbolizing the natural ingredients used in brewing.
The color palette was carefully chosen to evoke warmth and tradition. Rich earth tones of deep brown and golden amber were selected, reminiscent of the Monastery’s aged wooden barrels and the golden hues of their finest brews.
